Whatgas.com have been tracking the price of diesel since Jul 06 and have seen Diesel prices reach unprecendented levels in that time. Back in Jul 07 there was a peak with Diesel selling at just under £1 a litre, only a few pence higher than unleaded. This price barrier was broken in October 07 and since then Diesel Fuel has rocketed in price. The next barrier to fall was £5 a gallon back in Feb 08, but where next will it go? £1.50 a litre for Diesel?? In the first quarter of 2008 the price has gone up a staggering 15p and is at times up to 12p higher than Unleaded.
